How to Read the Riddle-Box

Instructions, set in plain type, for the new solver.

Solving the Hidden Path
  1. 1Solve each clue in turn, working down the column of rows.
  2. 2Type the answer into its row. Lowercase becomes capitals; pasted text fills the line.
  3. 3Marked boxes — dots for Path A, rings for Path B — form one or two hidden paths.
  4. 4Read the marked letters in order, top to foot.
  5. 5Submit the hidden answer before your ink runs dry.

On the Matter of Ink

You begin each edition with six ink marks. Wrong proof checks spill ink. At zero, the edition closes — but you may still study the printed solution.
